Why Melba?

Why Melba?

The name "Melba" was an obvious choice. Before opening the restaurant, Elouan spent three years working at the Ritz in Paris, where Chef Auguste Escoffier created the famous Peach Melba. Meanwhile, Léa lived in Australia for a year—including six months in Sydney, the home city of the renowned Australian opera singer Nellie Melba, to whom the dessert was dedicated.

"With this name, we wanted to bridge our respective backgrounds, the heritage of French gastronomy, and the world of luxury hotels that shaped our professional experiences. Melba thus embodies our story, our commitment to excellence, and our vision of gastronomy."

Melba is a restaurant housed in a former hardware store dating back to 1900; we sought to preserve its soul and its iconic red hue vestiges of a history that has now become part of the local heritage. Here, we share authentic gourmet cuisine crafted from local produce, prepared by the chef with respect and a true flair for flavor.

At the front desk, Léa handles reservations and expertly guides you in your choice of wines. Set in a warm, intimate atmosphere, Melba is also available for private hire for meals accommodating up to 18 guests.
